Sue Archer P.G. Dip. I.T.E.C. MCThA
Sue has been a practising complementary therapist on Arran for 20 years, following a PG Dip in Herbal Medicine with the Scottish School of Herbal Medicine. Her training incorporated Aromatherapy and an ITEC qualification in Swedish therapeutic massage. She subsequently trained in Reflexology, Reiki and also completed a 2-year course in Natural Nutrition. She is a member of CThA.
Sue works as a therapist for ArCaS, Arran's cancer support charity and for the Mary Davis Trust, to which clients are referred by a doctor or other health professional. All treatments take place in the pleasant, relaxed environment of Heather Lodge and are tailored to each client's needs, following initial consultation.
Herbal preparations may comprise a tea, tincture, cream or capsules as appropriate and are prescribed on an individual basis.
Sue's training is in Traditional Western Herbal Medicine and products used are natural and also organic, wherever possible. Diet and nutrition may be discussed, as relevant.
Holistic complementary therapy recognises the need to treat each unique person, rather than to target symptoms and conditions. This is the basis of Sue's approach to healing, ensuring support for everyone.
