Angie has 30 years' experience as a physiotherapist, retiring from the NHS after moving to Arran in 2016. Many of her patients inspired her with their courage and positive attitude when faced with disease or permanent disability. Angie believes that good health is a gift and that taking time to care for our physical, mental and emotional health is essential.
In 2008 chronic back and neck pain led Angie to work 1:1 with a local yoga teacher. Group classes, workshops and courses followed as her enthusiasm and curiosity about this ancient science grew. Her teacher persuaded her to train as a yoga teacher and she qualified from CYS Yoga Teacher Training in 2013.
Angie's yoga classes are a practice of mindful movement, breath awareness and relaxation. They are suitable for all levels of fitness as the physical postures can be modified to suit individual needs. Through the challenge of exercising body and mind, we discover that we can let go of tension and fear to create more freedom and flexibility. With regular practice, we become stronger, more confident and able to function in our daily lives.
You are invited to explore yoga... and discover for yourselves the benefits it can bring to your life.
