PARKING AT HEATHER LODGE

Brodick can be a busy place - especially in the summer - and car parking can be a challenge at times!

There are eight (8) car spaces at Heather Lodge itself - four close to the front of the main building, and four behind

Access to the spaces behind the building is gained at the far left-hand end of the Heather Lodge frontage.

We are also just across the road from the Bus Station (and Ferry Terminal).

And there are, literally, hundreds of car spaces within walking distance - along the Brodick front and in the pier area.

Here are some Parking ’Do’s and ’Don’t’s:

DO Consider car sharing when you are travelling.

DO Think of coming on foot (It’s good for you and the planet).

DO Consider parking behind Heather Lodge, especially if you have a smaller car.

DO Park close to the front of the main building, preferably parallel to it.

DO Let your therapist know if you experience any problems.

DO Park your car with the handbrake firmly applied, and In Gear.

DON’T Park on the far side of the gravel drive - which is needed for access at all times, and:

DON’T Park in the Douglas Hotel car park or any spaces specifically marked ’Douglas Hotel’.

About Us

In 2017 a loose cooperative of holistic practitioners came together, seeking a centre to further their work. They found Heather Lodge. The group’s members live on Arran and work mainly with regular clients, some with chronic medical conditions, often with the support of local charities — ArCaS and the Mary Davies Trust.

Heather Lodge, set in the grounds of the historic Douglas Hotel, was originally a stable, but has been in use as a private dwelling for many years. There is an attractive and secluded garden. The premises provide several therapy rooms and a healing ambience. Plans are afoot to develop facilities for small groups, including yoga, mindfulness and Qi Gong.
